"We began marketing cattle through U.S. Premium Beef because we didn’t believe we were getting paid for the quality we were producing. Now we get individual data and reports that show the value of each animal. And, we decide when and how to market our cattle which usually includes sorting a pen three ways to make sure we get the most cattle to grade and the fewest discounted. Our cattle are all purchased but we try and learn as much as possible about the history of the cattle so we can make better projections about how they’ll work on the grid.
